World Wide Flow

World Wide Flow (WWF) represents a proposed global network for sharing real-time information streams between organisations, similar to how the World Wide Web enables sharing of documents. Unlike traditional APIs, which require systems to repeatedly request information, the WWF would enable continuous streams of data to flow automatically between connected systems using new technical standards that are still being developed. For example, instead of a weather app repeatedly asking a server for updates, the WWF would allow weather data to flow instantly to all connected applications as soon as conditions change. This approach could transform how organisations collaborate and create value, enabling new business models built on real-time data sharing across organisational boundaries. Just as the World Wide Web revolutionised access to information through websites, the WWF aims to revolutionise how real-time information flows between systems on a global scale.
